The organizing committee at University of Indonesia asked me to give the closing address at their bi-annual conference on communications. I spoke about how an organization's ability to mobilize concentrated capital was no guarantee of control in environmental communications. I presented a brief analysis of creative community responses to the North Port Quay and Tirta Wahana Bali Internasional reclamation projects in Fremantle, Western Australia, and Benoa Bay, Bali, respectively.
